WritePoint Announces Courses in June

Well, it’s now the right time. After Passover, now that we are all back to our “normal” routines, it is the right time to upgrade and expand your professional skills. And to make it easier to begin, we are starting a series of crash courses designed to bring you up to date on certain skills, or teach you new ones to increase your value in the market.

New! Our benchmark Technical Writing course, as well as our Marcom course will be offered at our new Yokneam Training Center. Contact us for details.

Unless otherwise specified, courses will take place at our Jerusalem
Training Center, in Har Hotzvim.

Crash Course 1: Social Media

Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Blogs. This is how the message gets out there today, and it delivers a message that no other type of media can duplicate. Social Media Consultant, popular blogger and Israeli Twitter personality, Paula Stern will demonstrate the effective use of these tools so that you can promote yourself in an effective manner. This course is open to everyone with an interest in Social Media.

Course Dates: May 31 9:30 am – 2:30 pm, or June 16, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm

Crash Course 2: Resumes and Interview Skills

When a company gets dozens, if not hundreds of resumes in response to a single ad, you have to make sure that yours is one that stands out and gets attention from HR. What works? What should you not put on your resume? How important is the “cover” letter? And once you get the interview, how should you answer questions? What type of questions should you expect?

This course will provide you with the tools needed to make your resume more effective, and make you more confident in interviews.

Course Dates: May 22, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm or June 23, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm

Crash Course 3: Effective Training

An important skill that professionals need is the ability to train – both to present information, and to create effective materials for training purposes. This course will provide you with the tools to get started in training and effective training materials.

Course Date: May 24, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm

Crash Course 4: Moving to Word 2010

Since it was first released in 1983, Microsoft Word has undergone many changes. The most recent version provides new features and improvements, making Word 2010 a highly effective tool for documentation. This course assumes knowledge of a previous version of Word, either 2003 or 2007.

Course Date: May 12, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm or July 7

Crash Course 5: Moving to PowerPoint 2010

Microsoft has made many improvements to the latest version of PowerPoint. It now allows the presenter more freedom in tailoring a presentation on the fly, better use of video resources, and co-authoring capabilities, among other features.

Course Date: May 19, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm

Short Course 1: FrameMaker

Probably one of the best tools for documentation, FrameMaker has the reputation for being difficult to learn. Our 4-session course will teach you the ins and outs of this amazing tool, and allow you to begin working in it with confidence. This course is open to all, but students are expected to be effective users of Microsoft Word.

Did you take a Technical Writing course that did not teach FrameMaker? Are you a professional who needs to learn this tool? This special 4-session course is only NIS 1000! (This represents a 50% discount!)
