Paula R. Stern
WritePoint is a small technical writing company that has grown in the last few years. We hire in-house writers, freelancers who work onsite and off, and first-class editors who review our work before it goes to our clients. Former: Acting President, Vice President, Secretary, Editor and Convention Coordinator for local STC chapter.Paula Stern came to technical writing with a strong background in journalism and creative writing. Paula specializes in both technical and marketing writing, and is WritePoint's specialist in online help development. Paula manages a team of writers who work in "virtual" offices in Israel and abroad. In addition to managing large and small documentation projects for WritePoint, Paula specializes in localization projects, partnering with some local translation companies to provide customers with online help, interface and documentation translations.
Recognized for her expertise in RoboHelp, she is a frequent contributor to both the Techshoret email list for technical writers in Israel, as well as the Macromedia Help Authoring Forums. She can be reached at paula@writepoint.com.
Lazer Stern
A graduate of Columbia School of Engineering, Lazer Stern specializes in hardware and software management. He has worked in the elevator industries in the United States and Israel for more than 20 years, and is currently directing WritePoint Engineering, where he focuses on network management, hardware and software resale, computer consultation and programming. Lazer is an AutoCAD expert and is responsible for creating the automated drawing program currently used by Isralift Elevator Ltd. to design their standard elevator line.
In addition to his work with WritePoint Engineering, Lazer handles some of WritePoint's most technical documentation projects. He specializes in telecommunications and data communications software. He can be reached at lazer@writepoint.com.
